Italy laid down the marker in their opening UEFA Euro 2020 match against Turkey, with Roberto Mancini's men picking up an impressive 3-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico. Italy took the lead in the 53rd minute after Merih Demiral scored an own goal as he tried to clear off a Domenico Berardi cross. They doubled their lead in the 66th minute through Ciro Immobile, with the Lazio striker reacting quickly to a loose ball after the Turkey keeper saved an initial shot.
