The local Charkop Police arrested and interrogated Mohini, but she again pleaded her innocence. However, she confessed to the crime after police grilled her with more vigour. The investigating police duly noted her confession and sent her to Judicial Custody. However, one of the police inspectors found something amiss in the case, as he didn't find any valuables at her home.
