Following a dominant display on Day 1 of the first test match against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh continued to pick apart the Lankan bowlers on Day 2 with youngster Najmul Hossain Shanto and skipper Mominul Haque doing majority of the damage. Sri Lanka bounced back in session 2, dismissing both the centurions to give themselves a chance going into session 3, when rain and poor light halted play.
