Day 5 of the first test match in Kandy between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh got off to a banger as the visitors tore through the Lankan middle-order to force them to declare on 648/8. In response, the hosts picked up two early wickets as Bangladesh came in to bat for the second time, but experienced veteran Tamim Iqbal scored a solid half-century to take his side to 100/2 before tea.
